As charities looked to opening up their doors after months of lockdown, we put the call out for donations of PPE through our PPE Shop. Thanks to your generosity, we have sent out orders of 744 items of PPE (and no, we haven't counted each individual glove as an item)! This was more than we could have dreamed of when we set the shop up, so thank you from us and the charities you have helped. Your PPE donations will help keep service user, volunteers and workers safe.
In total this month, you have donated 898 items, going to 5 different cities and touching the lives of hundreds of people and animals. This month we saw the largest number of donations to animal charities so far, with dog toys, cat igloos and scratch posts going out. Our graphic below summarises the impact your donations made in June.
Our good friends at Big Issue North have been able to allow many of their vendors to return to work selling the magazine to members of the public. This has been, in part, due to your generous PPE donations. Here you can see Nic at Big Issue North in Leeds with your donations this month. Masks, gloves, hand sanitiser, clothing and toiletries - all crucial items and all very gratefully received. You can help out Big Issue North by purchasing them needed items through the Leeds shop here.
We also spoke with Brontë Schiltz earlier in June about how Big Issue North have been coping during the pandemic. You can read the full blog post here.
The kitties at Freshfields Animal Rescue were in for a treat this month, as three cosy igloo beds, a large scratching activity centre and a scratching post arrived just for them. Something as simple as a clean igloo bed that doesn't smell like a strange other cat, helps make a scared new arrival at the Rescue feel a little bit more safe. A scratch post is also always welcome as the purrfect way to vent the frustrations of the day - yes, we're talking about the cats and not the volunteers!
You can buy items for the furry occupants of Freshfields Animal Rescue through the Liverpool animal shop here. They especially need cat food at the moment to keep furry bellies happy.
If you would like to help out a charity in your local area, animal or otherwise, please visit our homepage at www.hope-revolution.org and pick your city and cause to view the online store. Browse and purchase a donation from the list of requested and much needed items and we'll get your item sent out from one of our trusted suppliers, direct to the charity and the patrons that need it most. We know that each of the organisations that receive your donations through Hope Revolution massively appreciate anything you can spare!
In case you missed it:
This month, we have continued to expand across the UK, with new charities Borderlands, CC Housing, Don't Walk Past, Coffee4Craig and FY Housing. We are always looking to help more organisations, so if you work for or know someone who should be included in our online store donations, drop us a message and let us know! It's fantastic to be able to meet (albeit it virtually at the moment) and work with such wonderful organisations and people.
On that note, did you get a chance to read any of our spotlight interviews yet? If not, we really recommend having a quick read. We spoke with some of the volunteers at our smaller supported charities during #SmallCharityWeek to shine a light on the fantastic work they do.

We enjoyed the spolight interviews so much that we've decided to continue sharing these with you. We've got some in drafts ready to go, so watch this space!
We've also been chatting with our contacts at the charities we work with, and have an exciting new update for our charities and their shops in the works. All will be revealed in due course, and we will keep you updated! We're all very excited here at The Hope Revolution!
Thank you for being part of our Hope Revolution - Here's to helping even more charities across the country in July!
