More About Boaz Trust
Purpose, vision, mission
Their Purpose is to end destitution among asylum seekers and refugees.
Their Vision is to see Life in all its fullness for people seeking sanctuary in the UK.
Their Mission is:
Ending destitution among people seeking sanctuary.
Empowering people seeking sanctuary to lead fulfilling lives.
Equipping churches to serve people seeking sanctuary in their communities and congregations.
These 6 values inform how Boaz Trust work as an organisation:
Christ-centred: rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, we seek to serve those who society sees as the least, the last and the lost.
Committed to excellence: we strive for professional excellence with integrity in all our working practices.
Empowering others: we want to see the people we work with, including clients, volunteers, staff and supporters, equipped and released to discover meaning and purpose in their lives.
Restless for justice: we shine a light on injustice, especially where people seeking sanctuary are treated unfairly and we will fight to see change happen.
Servant-hearted: we adopt an attitude of service within the organisation and beyond, putting the needs of others before our own.
Generous: we extend a welcome to all we meet, sharing hospitality, kindness and love, and treating everyone with dignity, regardless of their background.
15 years of serving those seeking sanctuary
Over the last 15 years, Baoz Trust's accommodation provision has grown to include 20 properties, emergency winter accommodation for men and women, and a hosting scheme. Alongside this accommodation, they are able to offer holistic support to both refused asylum seekers and refugees.
Boaz's client support team works with their clients, helping them to move on to more stable accommodation wherever possible, finding a positive resolution to the situation that made them homeless. They speak up with and for asylum seekers and refugees, and advocate for their rights. Boaz Trust are keen to work alongside all of a like mind to bring about a just and compassionate asylum system.

Boaz Trust was founded in 2004 to address the needs of the growing numbers of destitute asylum seekers in Greater Manchester, whose asylum cases had been refused and who had nowhere to turn to for help.
Over Christmas this year, the Boaz Trust will be providing a safe place to stay for over 70 people who, without our accommodation, would be homeless and destitute. As well as making sure their clients have a roof over their head, they will be providing them with all of the support they need including help with accessing other services like the NHS, and support to enable people to find a long term resolution to their homeless situation. Alongside this, Boaz Trust also ensure that their clients have access to food, clothing, toiletries and hygiene products.
